Artificial Intelligence Cursor (Graphical User Interface Elements) Backend Production Code Data Pipelines

Job description

A high-ownership founding engineer role working directly with the founders on product vision and implementation - one of the first engineering hires at a company with real, daily-active design partners. Building the product right now means talking directly to customers, understanding their needs, building around those problems, and iterating fast on feedback.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own end-to-end product development, from design through production, shipping features that solve real customer problems
  • Talk directly to design partners to understand their data challenges and validate solutions
  • Build core infrastructure and backend systems powering the agent system and data-reliability platform
  • Design and implement the data restructuring and linking logic that creates the company graph agents operate on
  • Iterate rapidly on customer feedback and adjust the roadmap accordingly
  • Ship production code with high standards for reliability and correctness on sensitive business data

Tech stack: Backend-leaning; data pipelines, agent systems, and a data-linking graph.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Startup experience?, * 1-5 years or exceptional new grads from top schools

  • AI-native, daily Cursor or Claude user
  • Full-stack leaning backend, shipped production code
  • Customer-facing, ship features based on design-partner feedback
  • NYC in-person 5 days, relocation supported, H-1B and TN visa open, * Founder or founding engineer experience
  • Attended a top school and clearly learned a lot in your first role
  • Strong career growth and intentional about pre-seed
  • Side projects and personal shipping
  • Can clearly articulate why pre-seed appeals to you

Benefits & conditions

Pulled from the full job description

  • 401(k) 4% Match
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k) matching
  • Paid time off
  • Vision insurance

  • Visa sponsorship, * Heavy job hopper with no good reason
  • Spray-and-pray candidate applying to everything from pre-seed through Series C
  • Only big tech (FAANG) experience with no startup exposure
  • Not willing to be in-person in Manhattan 5 days a week

Why Join

  • Real traction: design partners already using the platform daily, backed by a fresh pre-seed round
  • Founding-engineer ownership working directly with the founders, end-to-end
  • 99%+ employer-paid medical, dental, and vision; 401k with 4% match; 20 days PTO; meal stipends

About the company

An early-stage, venture-backed AI company building an agent system for data reliability - restructuring and linking the messy data inside companies’ systems of record (CRMs, ERPs) into a graph that AI agents can operate on reliably, then cleaning that data autonomously with governed, secure, human-in-the-loop workflows. The product is aimed at security-conscious companies and regulated industries, and design partners are already using it daily.
