Job description
We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing technology team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys designing, maintaining, and optimising enterprise infrastructure while working with modern cloud and on-premise technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Manage Windows and Linux server environments.
- Administer virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Support cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
- Maintain networking components including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Perform infrastructure upgrades, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and provide root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with security, development, and service desk teams on infrastructure projects.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * Experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or virtualisation technologies.
- Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and identity management.
- Knowledge of backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as PowerShell or Bash is desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Desirable Skills
- Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, AWS, or Azure certifications.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Exposure to monitoring tools and ITIL-based environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
