Job description

  • Leading and managing a team of Support Workers to deliver safe, responsive and high-quality care
  • Overseeing support plans tailored to individuals, including those with complex or changing needs
  • Ensuring services meet and exceed regulatory standards and best practice
  • Managing resources effectively to support efficient service delivery
  • Driving performance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
  • Working collaboratively with partners and multidisciplinary teams
  • Supporting service development and contributing to strategic planning
  • Providing cover for other Support Managers and attending key meetings when required

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Team management?, We’re seeking someone who can bring strong leadership and a passion for delivering excellent care outcomes.

You will have:

  • Experience managing or supervising staff in a social care setting
  • Experience supporting adults with complex needs
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of social care frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g. CQC)
  • Ability to manage resources effectively and drive performance
  • Excellent communication and partnership working skills
  • Confidence in using IT systems to support service delivery
  • Uk driving license, this is not essential however this post requires you to work with staff in the community across the city of Sheffield, * NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards it, * Collaboration- working in partnership to achieve the best outcomes

Benefits & conditions

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
