Job description
The successful candidate will work closely with senior technical staff to support and improve client environments ranging from traditional office networks to manufacturing and industrial systems.
Frequent onsite work will be required at a client facility in Union City, Indiana during the initial phases of a major infrastructure rebuild and modernization project. As the environment stabilizes, onsite requirements are expected to decrease, transitioning to a more flexible hybrid schedule with remote work available when onsite presence is not required.
Following completion of the rebuild, ongoing travel to Union City will still be required as needed for help desk support, troubleshooting, infrastructure maintenance, project work, and client support.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Windows workstations, laptops, and end users
- Deploy, configure, and maintain PCs, printers, and endpoint devices
- Administer Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
- Assist with Microsoft Azure cloud environments and cloud infrastructure
- Support Windows Server administration
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware virtual machines and virtualization environments
- Assist with cloud migration and infrastructure modernization projects
- Troubleshoot networking, wireless, VPN, internet, and SD-WAN connectivity
- Support Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances
- Support UniFi switching, routing, and wireless infrastructure
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, and network connectivity
- Work with vendors and technology partners to resolve hardware and software issues
- Maintain technical documentation, asset inventory, and network diagrams
- Participate in cybersecurity initiatives and infrastructure improvement projects
- Respond to help desk requests and onsite technical issues
- Assist with technology planning, deployments, upgrades, and client projects
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, We are seeking a motivated and capable IT Systems Technician to assist with infrastructure modernization, cloud migrations, virtualization, network administration, cybersecurity initiatives, end-user support, and technology projects across multiple client environments., * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting Windows desktop environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience working with Active Directory user and computer management
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- VLANs
- VPNs
- Routing
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following technologies is highly desired:
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
- Microsoft 365 administration
- VMware or Hyper-V virtualization
- Windows Server
- Virtual machine deployment and administration
- Fortinet firewalls and security solutions
- UniFi networking and wireless infrastructure
- SD-WAN technologies
- Dell servers and storage platforms
- PowerShell scripting
- RMM and endpoint management platforms
