Data Center Technician

• The individual in this position will work independently and as part of a team to build, install, and troubleshoot complex computer and network systems.
• Perform in-factory and on-site racking and cabling, systems configuration, and systems verification.
• Assist local technical support and repair engineers.
• Test and troubleshoot computer hardware and network issues.
• Fully document processes, procedures, and all work performed.
• Participate in growing Penguin Solutions’ technical capabilities through knowledge-sharing and team activities.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Travel up to 60% required.

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Hardware maintenance?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Penguin Solutions Professional Services provides essential engineering services for the integration, configuration, and deployment of complex, integrated environments involving high-performance computing, cloud, and enterprise systems. This position requires excellent customer service skills along with strong technical skills to install, document, configure, troubleshoot, and repair the deployed solutions., * Minimum of two years of experience in service installation of CAT6 and fiber cables.

• Hands-on experience building or repairing compute servers.
• Familiarity with data center settings.
• Familiarity with Linux preferred but not required.
• US citizenship required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
