Job description

Responsible for all MHM Information technology, Information Technology strategic direction, oversight of vendor technology products and platforms used in the organization, ensuring appropriate levels of information privacy and security oversight and controls, and management of the IT function for BCMS. Under minimal supervision, the Department Director for Information Technology proactively manages the staff of the IT department and oversees all IT department related functions for Baker County Medical Services, Inc. including; but not limited to, the service desk, the IT project portfolio, all software, server and network administration, and the Information Security Program. This position supervises both clinical and non-clinical staff, monitors internal and vendor issues for timely and satisfactory completion, ensures user accounts are properly managed, leads, directs or participates in multiple concurrent IT projects, assists with identifying system needs, assists with implementing new information systems (when applicable), experience with networking technologies and cloud services. Must have the ability to oversee, manage and forecast budget the IT Department. The Information Technology Director will develop and update organizational standards, policies and best practices for systems, software and hardware in line with evolving technology landscapes and ensure current compliance with IT Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Performance Improvement (PI)?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in healthcare, information technology, business administration or management, medical technology or other related field is required.

  • 10+ years of experience in technology to enhance healthcare clinical operations/solutions, implementing technology and performance improvement, much of which is at the management level is required
  • An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or relevant certifications will be considered (depending on experience in healthcare related field)
  • Must be able to multi task, organized and work well independently
  • Must pass Level 2 AHCA Background Screening
