Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Flight Management System (FMS) software applications and core software architecture.
  • Develop and integrate avionics software solutions for next-generation aerospace platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define software requirements, specifications, and technical solutions.
  • Implement scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.
  • Participate in software architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
  • Perform software integration, testing, debugging, and validation activities in laboratory test bench environments.
  • Support functional load deliveries and certification compliance activities.
  • Apply Agile or Scrum software development methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and aerospace software development best practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in System design?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Flight Management Systems software development and strong C++ programming skills, along with experience designing highly reliable and safety-critical aerospace software solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside talented engineering teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment developing cutting-edge aerospace technologies., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience developing Flight Management Systems (FMS) software.
  • Strong C++ and object-oriented programming experience.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Strong software architecture and design development skills.
  • Experience in one or more of the following FMS functional areas:
  • Navigation Database Management
  • Flight Planning
  • Lateral and Vertical Guidance
  • Performance Predictions / Trajectory Predictions
  • Performance Optimization
  • Radio Tuning
  • Approach Operations
  • Datalink
  • Takeoff and Landing
  • User Interface Development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience developing embedded software systems.
  • Multi-core and multi-threaded software development experience.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
  • Experience with DO-178C software development lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with software verification and validation using C++.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
