EMS Cash Application Specialist

Under administrative review, is responsible for posting received credits, zero-pays, understanding and processing revenue sources, and identifying and reporting revenue changes for clients. The Cash Application Specialist may perform clerical duties as needed, as well as participate in other projects or special assignments throughout the PBS Operations Department when appropriate. • High school diploma or equivalent accepted, College Preferred
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in:
• Revenue cycle collections required
• Insurance payment processing
• Insurance follow-up
• Previous experience in EMS preferred but not
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9/10 and HCPCS
• Sharp intelligence of government payers and other commercial/managed care carrier rules and processes in a professional billing environment
