Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer oriented Help Desk Technician I (Level 1 Support), to join our IT Team. This will be an entry level role and a great fit for someone starting their career pathway into IT . You will be first level technical support responsible for problem solving and assisting others with IT issues. More complex issues will be escalated senior team members., * Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT support: phone, email, ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues related to: Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office=Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams. Password resetting and account access, printers and basic knowledge of networking.
- Set up and deploy desktop computers, laptops, monitors and peripheral devices.
- Perform new hire onboarding tasks: equipment preperation, account set-up, etc.
- Document IT issues and the resolution along with the steps taken to resolve within the helpdesk system.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Level 2 Support or the Network Administrator.
- Follow Standard IT procedures and security practices.
- Maintain a positive customer focused approach to support the team!
Requirements
Do you have experience in Teamwork?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Basic knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft applications.
- Understanding of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and troubleshoot using documented process and procedures.
- Preferred Associate degree or coursework in IT (or equivalent experience)
- Entry-level certifications: A+, Network +. Preferred but not required to apply.
- Prior helpdesk, retail tech. and customer service experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests
- Team oriented and a willingness to learn
- Reliable, organized and detail oriented.
Work Environment and Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs-PC’s, monitors, printers, etc.
- Occasional travel to nearby sights that are within three miles of the corporate office.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality is a must!
- Occasional after hours or weekend support as needed.
