IT Administrator

We are looking for a hands-on, security-minded IT Administrator to lead our technology operations and support our office and field team. This role requires someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to resolve day-to-day technical issues - including diagnosing and repairing laptop problems remotely, as well as setting up iPads for our field technicians. You will uphold IT and security best practices while managing all of our software vendor relationships. Consistent availability and responsiveness during Eastern or Central time zones is critical during normal business hours., IT Operations & Remote Support

• Serve as the primary point of escalation for IT issues across the organization
• Act as the primary liaison between the company and our third-party IT provider, managing day-to-day communication, coordinating service requests for more complex issues, and ensuring SLAs and deliverables are met
• Maintain inventory of laptops and iPads
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve common laptop (office personnel), iPad (field personnel) and endpoint issues remotely (hardware faults, OS problems, connectivity, performance, peripherals, and software conflicts)
• Use remote desktop and endpoint management tools (e.g., TeamViewer, Microsoft Intune, or similar) to support employees across time zones
• Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure including networks, cloud services, and SaaS platforms
• Take ownership of the company’s SharePoint environment, leading efforts to reduce redundancy, establish site structures and guidelines, and maintain an organized and manageable file system across the organization while monitoring permissions and structure
• Develop and document IT support processes, and self-service resources

Security

• Own the organization’s cybersecurity posture, including policy development, enforcement, and ongoing monitoring
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk reviews
• Manage endpoint security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools to protect digital assets
• Lead incident response planning and execution; coordinate breach response if needed
• Deliver security awareness training and promote a security-first culture across the organization

Software & Vendor Relationship Management

• Own and manage relationships for all company software relationships with all vendors, including RingCentral, Salesforce, Adobe, Docusign, Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Fleet Service, Procore, IT service partners, etc.
• Negotiate and administer software contracts, renewals, and licensing agreements
• Manage company’s MS365 licenses
• Maintain a software asset inventory and ensure license compliance across the organization
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and platforms to improve productivity and reduce cost
• Coordinate with vendors on support escalations, product roadmaps, and service delivery

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, including hands-on experience with security tools, frameworks, and incident response

• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve common laptop issues remotely (Windows), using remote access and MDM tools
• Experience managing software vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, license management, and SLA oversight
• Familiarity with US compliance and data privacy requirements (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, or industry-specific regulations)
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and core SaaS tools
• Must be available to work 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern or Central Time, Monday through Friday, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field is required
• 10+ years of IT experience, with demonstrated experience supporting US-based companies
• Microsoft 365 certification is preferred
• Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical team members

Physical Requirements

• Must have reliable internet connection when working remotely
• Infrequent availability for early or late meetings to support multiple time zones
• Minimal physical demands beyond standard office work
