Job description

As a Recruiter at Pulse Final Mile, you will play a pivotal role in providing support to home delivery services for key client(s) and operations. This fast-paced position requires a skilled professional capable of coordinating multiple projects, maintaining positive NCP relationships, and fostering capacity resource growth in any market.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment and processing of Network Carrier Partners (NCPs).
  • Act as the local Pulse representative when present in a market, fostering a positive image and ensuring adherence to Pulse standards, while upholding Pulse culture and values.
  • Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), providing regular updates on recruiting efforts and performance of newly onboarded teams.
  • Possess an intermediate understanding of office suite tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power Apps, and SharePoint.
  • Develop and execute market-specific carrier acquisition strategies to ensure sufficient capacity for current and future client demand.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective carriers and delivery teams for rapid deployment in new and existing markets.
  • Conduct competitive market analysis on carrier availability, compensation trends, and market conditions.
  • Validate carrier operational readiness, including fleet size, equipment, and financial stability.
  • Track and analyze key carrier performance metrics, including on-time delivery, completion rate, damage claims, customer satisfaction, safety incidents, and retention.
  • Partner with operations leadership to develop corrective action plans for underperforming carriers.
  • Identify high-performing carrier partners for growth opportunities and expanded service areas.
  • Forecast future capacity requirements based on client growth, seasonal demand, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to address capacity gaps before service disruptions occur.
  • Develop and Maintain a pipeline of Rapid Response (RRT) teams to support internal and external capacity requirements.
  • Develop carrier engagement and retention programs to reduce turnover and improve network stability.
  • Evaluate recruiting ROI, carrier partnership costs, and retention metrics.
  • Support pricing discussions by providing market intelligence regarding carrier costs and availability.
  • Assist in maintaining a cost-effective carrier network while meeting service requirements.
  • Maintain recruitment tracking and reporting on carrier pipeline, onboarding status, capacity utilization, retention, and performance trends.
  • Use data-driven insights to improve recruiting effectiveness and network quality.
  • Ensure carriers and delivery teams are familiar with client-specific SOPs, technology platforms, safety standards, customer experience expectations, and escalation procedures.
  • Verify operational readiness before carriers begin servicing accounts.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Number of NCPs onboarded per month.
  • Time-to-fill open capacity requirements.
  • Background check and onboarding completion rates.
  • Carrier retention rates.
  • Weekly and monthly truck capacity growth.
  • Recruiting pipeline conversion metrics.
  • Number of available Rapid Response (RRT) teams at any given time.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Team supervision?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.

  • 5 years of operations/recruiting experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Project).
  • Supervisory experience in a transportation/supply chain environment.
  • P&L experience.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, coaching, and influencing results.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced logistics and transportation environment.
  • Combination of office, remote recruiting, and field recruiting activities.
  • Travel will be required for recruiting events and market expansion initiatives.
