Job description

  • Lead architecture design across Microsoft Fabric / Lakehouse
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis of Azure/Fabric services
  • Design and build data pipelines, data models, and transformations
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
  • Ensure data governance using Purview
  • Integrate upstream/downstream systems and optimize performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and support documentation *, Supporting a fintech client modernizing their data platform within Microsoft Fabric. This role will act as a hands-on lead, partnering closely with the internal Data Architect to drive architecture decisions and accelerate delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading enterprise data modernization initiatives, including transitioning from legacy platforms to modern cloud-native architectures while ensuring business continuity and operational stability.
  • Strong expertise designing and governing enterprise data models across platforms such as Encompass, Salesforce, HappyFox, Polly, and other operational/business systems.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience implementing Medallion Architecture patterns (Bronze / Silver / Gold) within modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Databricks.
  • Experience establishing enterprise data standards including naming conventions, metadata management, lineage, and reusable architectural patterns.
  • Expertise designing scalable Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures optimized for analytics, reporting, governance, and AI/ML workloads.
  • Strong knowledge of application integration and support architectures, including APIs, event-driven design, streaming pipelines, and real-time data processing.
  • Ability to partner closely with engineering teams to support solution design, development delivery, platform optimization, and production support.
  • Experience implementing Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management (MDM), and compliance frameworks to ensure trusted and reliable enterprise data., * Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric + Lakehouse architecture
  • Experience with Purview and data governance
  • Hands-on with ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and pipelines
  • Experience with CI/CD for data platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services and integrations
  • Ability to operate both strategically (architecture) and hands-on

  • Financial services or regulated environment experience
