IT Technician

This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting mission-critical technology and assisting with specialized equipment during election cycles., * Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely technical support to end users.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral device issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, operating systems, and software applications.
• Set up, test, troubleshoot, and support election equipment and related technology.
• Monitor network connectivity and escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
• Document service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the help desk ticketing system.
• Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, and equipment deployments.
• Configure user accounts, passwords, and system access.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and technology assets.
• Provide exceptional customer service while supporting users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Assist with additional IT projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding technical support., * Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• 1-3 years of experience providing desktop or technical support.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, printers, Wi-Fi, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service., * Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, or ticketing systems.
• Familiarity with imaging, workstation deployment, and hardware configuration.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant IT certifications are a plus.

Working Conditions

• Office-based environment with occasional field support.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance from a co-worker.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Overtime and extended hours may be required during peak operational periods and election cycles.
