Job description

The Infrastructure Specialist supports the operation, maintenance, configuration, and reliability of enterprise system environments across Development, Test, Pre-Production, and Production. The system operates in a regulated environment requiring strict adherence to configuration management, security controls, and structured deployment processes.

This role ensures system environments are stable, consistently configured, properly patched, and aligned with approved deployment and upgrade plans, * Support daily system operations of enterprise environments and system interfaces.

  • Perform operating system and infrastructure patching aligned with change control processes.
  • Support deployment activities across multiple environments (Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, Prod).
  • Ensure consistent configuration across environments.
  • Support software upgrade planning and execution in coordination with system requirements.
  • Upgrade system components while maintaining compatibility across environments.
  • Assist in maintaining software upgrade plans aligned with IT roadmap requirements.
  • Support preparation of security-related artifacts and Security Impact Assessment inputs.
  • Perform QA review and support updates to security-related documentation.
  • Support System Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) activities required to maintain system security posture and authorization status.
  • Assist in continuous monitoring activities and system security compliance support.
  • Support infrastructure documentation including configuration baselines, inventories, and architecture updates.
  • Ensure system environment stability, availability, and performance support.
  • Support contingency planning, backup coordination, and recovery readiness activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, or operations support.
  • Experience managing multi-environment enterprise systems.
  • Experience with patch management, deployment support, and system monitoring.
  • Understanding of system security principles and structured change management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in federal or regulated IT environments.
  • Experience supporting FISMA-aligned systems.
  • Experience with system security documentation and ATO support processes.
  • Experience supporting legacy Java-based enterprise environments.
