Linux Storage Engineer

The person in this position will serve in the datacenter support group, which includes the responsibilities of proper configuration of the SAN/NAS, backup systems, and security of the datacenter. This position provides daily monitoring and support administration for ensuring the healthy status, availability of IT Systems and infrastructure for all on premise and support for cloud-based programs & applications. The duties will also include managing development/sustainment, staging, production systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment., The duties will include planning, installation, maintenance during or after-work hours, troubleshooting, and managing all servers and applications.

Do you have experience in vSphere?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, · Educational requirements include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or 7 Years’ experience in system administration.

· Experience with SAN technologies in a highly virtualized and converged environment

· Experience maintaining a high availability datacenter

· Experience requirement is seven years of progressive experience in serving as a system administrator for Microsoft O365, VMWare vSphere and NsX-T, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, SQL, Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, EMC SAN technologies and applications, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure.

Required Qualifications:

· Sec+ CE certification

Desired Qualifications:

· Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash or Python)

· Experience with Infrastructure as Code

· Experience with Source Code Repository system, preferably GitLab

· Experience with implementing CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery)

· Experience with implementing STIGS, testing patches, certificates and encryption.

· Configuring SolarWinds for alerting and monitoring.

· Experience with LMS Systems, preferably Canvas and integrating LTIs into an LMS., * Are you willing to obtain a DoD Clearance?
