As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all products meet regulatory and company standards for safety and quality. This position is essential to maintaining the integrity of the plants operations and supporting continuous improvement efforts. If you are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and are passionate about food safety, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a respected organization., * Monitor adherence to FSIS food safety regulatory requirements throughout all stages of production, including slaughter, evisceration, packing, and post-chill processing.
- Implement and verify daily HACCP activities to ensure compliance with food safety protocols.
- Conduct inspections and verify criteria and procedures during all phases of processing.
- Collect and verify process quality data and statistical information from sizing to finished product verification.
- Support company research by gathering processing data as needed.
- Participate in inspection and testing activities to maintain continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Collaborate with quality management teams to drive quality initiatives within the organization.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints related to quality and food safety under the supervision of the QA Manager.
- Report any food safety or animal welfare issues immediately to management.
- Perform pre-operational sanitation verification inspections as scheduled.
- Support the production department as needed.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following all standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Report any damages to company property.
- Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), company policies, and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Manufacturing facility?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required; some post-secondary education or related experience/training preferred.
- 13 years of experience in a manufacturing or production facility required; experience in a poultry facility is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet assigned work schedules and comply with attendance policies.
- Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance occasionally.
- Comfortable working in cold, wet, and loud production environments with required PPE.
