Job description

The GIS Analyst empowers critical decision-making across the organization by leveraging the latest data & spatial analysis techniques, vivid cartography and a sound understanding of industry standards for developing, managing, and supporting web-based GIS solutions., * Performs spatial analysis on geographic data by using geoprocessing tools and techniques to help decision-makers gain meaningful insight; employs cartographic skills to produce visually pleasing maps, charts, and presentations for high-level decision support.

  • Leads and supports GIS projects with GIS team, works with end-users to help optimize and improve their workflows; identifies system integration opportunities and defines integration and implementation parameters.
  • Assists in the maintenance and administration of enterprise-level GIS components; Enterprise Geodatabase, ArcGIS Enterprise, and its integrations. Evaluates current geospatial technologies and develop web-based interactive mapping solutions.
  • Works closely with the IT department and other departments to ensure scalable and robust system operation. Provide guidance and training to end-users; implements/adhere to AQ/QC procedures and ensure various departments’ geospatial needs are being met.

Requirements

Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Engineering or a related field.

  • Additional work experience may substitute for bachelor’s degree on a year to year basis.
  • Two (2) year or more of experience as a GIS Analyst or in a similar position.

Certificates and Licenses Required

  • Valid Class C Driver’s license.
