Job description

A leading professional services firm is looking for a Java Technical Analyst to combine hands-on development with technical leadership on a legacy modernisation programme. What you’ll do:

  • Lead Java modernisation initiatives, including JBoss/WildFly upgrades, Spring Boot migrations (Spring 56, javaxjakarta), and RichFaces to PrimeFaces transitions

  • Architect scalable, secure Java solutions and define technical standards for the delivery team

  • Manage and mentor nearshore/offshore Java developers; conduct code reviews and establish quality gates

  • Oversee CI/CD pipeline integration and coordinate integration of code produced by delivery centres

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional Java development experience

  • Proven experience managing distributed (nearshore/offshore) development teams

  • Strong command of Spring ecosystem, JPA/Hibernate, and JBoss/WildFly

  • Hands-on experience with javax*jakarta namespace migrations and OpenRewrite or similar tooling

  • Experience in the banking sector is an asset

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus); ability to read code commented in NL/FR

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent
