Senior Storage & Backup Infrastructure Engineer - Req15743

We are supporting a major programme via a leading consultancy and are looking for a Senior Storage & Backup Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering critical infrastructure services., * Provide technical design, implementation and support across infrastructure technologies

• Support pre-sales activity including solution scoping and effort estimation
• Produce high-quality technical and operational documentation
• Evaluate and integrate new hardware and software into the infrastructure estate
• Manage and optimise storage environments including SAN, capacity, access and performance
• Provide 2nd line support and ensure SLA adherence
• Support ongoing environment improvements and operational stability

This role will suit an experienced engineer with strong NetApp expertise who is comfortable working across design, implementation and support within a secure, enterprise environment., * Strong NetApp experience is essential

• Proven background in infrastructure engineering within enterprise environments
• Experience leading small technical teams and delivering project-based work
• Strong understanding of infrastructure lifecycle, support models and customer impact
• Excellent documentation skills across both technical and user-facing materials
• Experience working within structured project and support environments

Desirable

• Broad infrastructure knowledge across storage, servers, networks or virtualisation
• Experience with SAN, file/print clusters or enterprise environments
• Exposure to messaging or thin client environments
• Experience working to tight SLAs
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE or equivalent

• Due to clearance restrictions, candidates must not hold dual nationality
• Hybrid working with 3-4 days onsite in Newport
