Job description

The Applications & Integration Specialist serves as a key member of the Business Intelligence team, embedded within operational departments to support and optimize enterprise applications that drive daily business functions. This role is responsible for application configuration, workflow design, system integrations, and API connectivity to ensure operational technology platforms are aligned with business processes and performance objectives. The Specialist acts as a systems partner to department leaders, translating operational requirements into efficient, well-integrated technical solutions that improve reliability, visibility, and process performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Business, Information Technology, or related field or the equivalent work experience in application support and systems integration
  • Experience configuring and supporting enterprise or operational software platforms
  • Strong understanding of system permissions, modules, and workflow configuration
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and system integrations
  • Understanding of API authentication, data mapping, and troubleshooting integration issues
  • Familiarity with JSON or XML data formats
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Ability to analyze data structures and validate data accuracy across systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into system configurations
  • Experience working directly with operational stakeholders
  • Ability to diagnose system, workflow, and integration issues
  • Comfortable coordinating cross-functional resolution efforts
  • Strong documentation practices for configurations, workflows, and integration logic

  • Experience supporting fleet management, maintenance, logistics, or other operational systems
  • Experience participating in enterprise software implementations
  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools
  • Experience working in cross-functional operational environments
  • Exposure to reporting tools or business intelligence platforms (supportive but not primary focus)
