Job description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Specialist/Mainframe Developer to support a legacy application enhancement project. The role involves analyzing existing COBOL applications, developing and testing enhancements, exposing CICS programs as web services, and working closely with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with IBM z/OS, COBOL, CICS, and DB2
  • 5+ years of experience with CICS Web Services (CTS/CTG)
  • Strong experience with ENDEVOR, JCL, VSAM, SQL, and CA DB2 tools
  • Experience in business systems analysis, application design, coding, testing, and debugging
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working on large enterprise or government projects is a plus

Preferred:

  • Experience with State or County Government projects
  • Experience with DMV or vehicle registration/title systems
  • Experience with Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
  • Experience with C# and the latest .NET Framework
  • Experience with enterprise-level application development across multiple business areas
  • Familiarity with financial business processes and legacy application modernization
