Job description

The Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) organization is seeking a dynamic and versatile professional to join our Parts Fabrication product team in Auburn, WA. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of critical components that drive the success of our Parts Fabrication Product. As a key team member, you will have the opportunity to define, design, configure, implement, and sustain innovative software solutions that support the evolving needs of a leading aerospace and defense company.

We are looking for a passionate software developer who is eager to deepen their understanding of the Parts Fabrication business. Success in this role requires active engagement in collaborative workshops and effective communication with diverse stakeholders throughout the requirements gathering and implementation phases.

Hybrid position - Candidate is expected to be onsite twice a week, minimum.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Keep production systems stable and available - monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents promptly.
  • Deliver bug fixes and prioritized enhancements in a timely, tested manner.
  • Ensure applications meet compliance and audit requirements (logging, access controls, secure coding practices).
  • Execute technical-debt burn-down: refactor, consolidate, and migrate legacy components toward modern stacks.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Programming experience to include the below:
  • Hands-on experience with Java +, .jsp + and Linux environments.
  • Strong experience with ASP.NET Web Forms applications and C# backend development
  • Experience with .NET Core, Razor Pages, and MVC patterns.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of Programming experience to include the above
  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or similar) for automation and maintenance tasks.
  • Oracle PL/SQL packages/procedures and overall Oracle DB experience (schema design, tuning, troubleshooting).
  • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Solid SQL skills and working knowledge of ADO.NET and data access patterns.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and / ADO Code repositories (ADO Version Control, ADO Git).
  • Experience with Azure App Services and cloud deployment patterns.
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications (migration strategies, incremental refactors).
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, application logging/monitoring, and compliance frameworks. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range - Salary is dependent on experience and geographical location:

Associate: $91,800 - $119,900

Mid-Level: $114,300 - $149,600
