Job description

Ledgent Technology’s client is actively seeking a Data & Analytics Analyst to join their innovative team in California. This role is pivotal for developing data-driven solutions that aid in strategic decision-making and support various business objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with business teams, delivering insights and analytics that drive operational improvements., * Work closely with business teams to understand data requirements and business objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that support strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain reports to monitor key financial, clinical, and operational metrics.
  • Analyze data trends and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in financial tracking, including budget variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Assist in developing and implementing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business challenges.
  • Perform detailed data analysis to uncover trends, correlations, and actionable insights for key business units.
  • Clean, preprocess, and transform data for analysis by handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate on the design, development, and promotion of self-service capabilities through interactive dashboards and reports using various programs.
  • Support regular monitoring of performance indicators across various departments.
  • Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various systems, and partner with IT and Compliance to manage data access controls.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within reporting systems.
  • Maintain and update project activity logs, ensuring that all task statuses, priorities, and timelines, as well as actual time spent on each project, are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for executive leadership for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop clear reports and visualizations to guide business decisions and strategy.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and analytics tools.
  • Suggest process improvements, optimize existing data workflows, and create documentation and tools to standardize data usage and interpretation for better efficiency and accuracy across the company.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 2 years’ experience working with database reporting, analysis and statistics, and/or business management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in using SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience with financial modeling and data visualization tools, including Microsoft Power BI and IBM Cognos Analytics.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions such as Power BI and Cognos.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Previous experience working in healthcare or health plans is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Benefits & conditions

The position offers a competitive pay range of $40 to $48 per hour, along with benefits that align with company policies.
