Job description

We are looking for an experienced NonStop Tandem DBA to support and manage critical NonStop database environments. This role will focus on day-to-day database administration, replication support, system monitoring, performance tuning, and production support activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience working in NonStop/Tandem environments and be comfortable handling database operations, troubleshooting production issues, disaster recovery activities, and system maintenance in a 24x7 support setup.

This position requires close collaboration with engineering and support teams to ensure system stability, replication reliability, and overall platform performance., * Manage and support NonStop/Tandem database environments

  • Monitor and support daily replication processes
  • Handle database performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting
  • Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities
  • Manage DB space allocations and disk configurations
  • Support production issues and ensure high system availability
  • Work closely with support and engineering teams during incidents and deployments
  • Monitor system health using tools like Measure, LogWatch, CMON, and SCF
  • Support Pathway, TMF, RDF, SQL/MP, and Enscribe environments
  • Maintain security configurations using Safeguard and related tools
  • Support OSS, TCP/IP, SFTP, FTPS, and connectivity components
  • Prepare operational documentation and support procedures
  • Participate in on-call support and weekend maintenance activities when required, * NonStop / Tandem Systems

  • Experience supporting enterprise or high-volume transactional systems
  • Exposure to banking, retail, healthcare, or payments environments is a plus
  • Understanding of TACL scripts and version control processes is preferred
