Requirements

Must Have Government & Lead Experience

Essential Skills & Experience

Extensive experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
Strong expertise with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.
Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments.
Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineering teams.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

Experience working in government or large-scale public sector environments.
Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
Knowledge of accessibility and security standards within government digital services.
Experience with test automation frameworks and TDD practices.
