Requirements

Do you have experience in Laboratory equipment routine checks?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * This position requires a 4-year degree in Science such as Chemistry, Food Science, Biology or related field. An in-depth knowledge of current quality theories, methodologies, tools and practices is also required.

  • 3+ years of experience in a quality assurance role within the food processing industry. Experience with Quality and Food Safety testing instrumentation and equipment preferred.
  • Ability to define equipment and instrumentation issues and determine the best course of action for completing necessary repairs.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance programs, calibrations, trouble shooting, and repair of lab equipment by executing (and documenting) all associate tasks.
  • Ability to cooperate with others in a team effort to identify potential quality issues, communicate them thoroughly, seek prompt resolution, and to verify resolution with follow-up.
  • Ability to communicate in a thorough, articulate, and understandable manner so that issues are understood in full context.
  • Motivated with a concern for Quality Assurance that translates into enthusiasm for completing the responsibilities of the job to the best of his/her ability.
  • Maintains a positive, pro-Quality attitude while performing job responsibilities and while in contact with others.
  • Good attendance.
  • Fully knowledgeable and capable of using all laboratory equipment (including but not limited to: HPLC, Protein Analyzer, NIR, NMR, Moisture Analyzer, pH meter, Stereoscope, Colorimeter, Texture Analyzer, RI, etc.)
  • Excellent computer skills in a Windows based environment; excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate/legible records.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to achieve priorities.
  • Strong problem solving and investigation skills.
  • Excellent writing skills., * Both lab and manufacturing plant environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
