IT Infrastructure Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of our IT environment and client-facing projects. This is a broad, varied role suited to someone who thrives on tackling new challenges, can move between strategic planning and practical delivery, and is comfortable being a point of escalation. You’ll plan and deliver projects end-to-end, support and improve infrastructure, and help drive productivity, security, and redundancy across the business., Project Delivery & Management

• Scope, propose, plan, and deliver IT infrastructure projects from initial consultation through to handover
• Produce proposals, estimations, and documentation, and manage projects against agreed timelines
• Plan and execute migrations and deployments out of hours where needed to minimise business disruption
• Provide on-site delivery, including handover guides and supporting documentation

Microsoft 365 & Cloud

• Set up, configure, and migrate Microsoft 365 tenancies (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
• Configure Entra ID, including conditional access and security policies
• Deploy and manage Intune policies and applications for streamlined device onboarding and management
• Build deployment packages and onboarding automation (e.g. via PowerShell)

Network & Infrastructure

• Install and configure on-site network infrastructure - cabinets, cabling, patching, and structured wiring
• Configure routers, firewalls, and network hardware (e.g. pfSense, UniFi)
• Set up site-to-site and client-to-server VPNs
• Work with virtualisation (e.g. Hyper-V) and support server migrations to data centres
• Manage and maintain telecommunications systems (e.g. 3CX)

Support & Maintenance

• Provide end-user support remotely and on-site
• Perform patch management across servers and workstations
• Build, configure, and deliver client computer systems with an emphasis on tidiness and cable management
• Set up and manage MDM for iOS/macOS via Apple Business Manager and Intune
• Maintain and update deployment pipelines (e.g. MDT)

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Virtualization?, Essential

• Significant hands-on experience across IT hardware and software
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune
• Experience with network infrastructure installation and configuration (routers, firewalls, VPNs, cabling)
• Experience planning and delivering IT projects end-to-end
• Self-sufficient, adaptable, and comfortable acting as an escalation point
• Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and clients
• Full driving licence
