Job description
The Associate Director, IT Business Partner for Commercial leads application capabilities across biotech functions including Sales, Marketing, Thought Leader Liaisons, Operations, Advanced Analytics, Business Development and Communications, and serves as the strategic and execution lead for Commercial technology delivery. The role reports to the Director, IT Business Partner and is responsible for:
- Planning, building, and running the functional area capabilities
- Evangelizing effective application management practices
- Promoting improved business processes
- Defining and maintaining technology roadmaps
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage Servier’s portfolio of Commercial technology assets, including roadmap planning, investment prioritization, and lifecycle management
- Oversee implementation and management of CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms
- Collaborate with functional leads, creative agencies, and IT teams to align business strategy, technology roadmaps, and delivery plans
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and actionable plans
- Engage with internal delivery teams, platform owners, and vendors to plan, execute, and deliver solutions using agile and iterative delivery approaches
- Ensure technology solutions comply with industry regulations (data privacy and security)
- Stay current with emerging technology trends in pharma
Product Delivery & Execution Leadership
- Serve as product owner or delivery lead for key Commercial technology platforms and initiatives
- Own and manage product backlogs, ensuring alignment to business priorities and measurable outcomes
- Facilitate or oversee agile delivery ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Drive disciplined execution by tracking delivery milestones, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
- Partner with delivery teams and vendors to ensure commitments translate into predictable, high quality outcomes
- Support continuous improvement of delivery practices, agile maturity, and ways of working across Commercial IT
Requirements
Do you have experience in Task prioritization?, * Proven experience (8+ years) working in a technical, digital role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with demonstrated ownership of complex initiatives from strategy through delivery
- The ideal candidate has experience with Commercial systems and business processes
- Experience with Veeva’s Commercial suite of products such as CRM, Vault PromoMats, Network, and OpenData
- Experience with Salesforce.com Platform including LifeSciences Cloud, MarketingCloud and/or ExperienceCloud a plus
- Experience serving as a product owner, delivery lead, or scrum master for enterprise technology initiatives
- Working knowledge of agile and iterative delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models)
- Proven ability to balance run vs. build, delivery capacity, and demand prioritization in a regulated environment
- Communication and translation - the ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms, specifically tailoring messages to different audiences
- Relationship Management and collaboration - Building trust and partnering with various teams including vendors, customers, and internal teams

Travel and Location
- Occasional travel required (approximately 10%).
- Boston area preferred hybrid role with 2-3 days a week in office; remote work for exceptional candidates.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
