Job description

Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise API and integration solutions
Design, develop, and manage APIs using IBM API Connect (APIC) and related middleware technologies
Translate business requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, and implementation plans
Develop scalable REST and SOAP services aligned with enterprise architecture standards
Deploy and manage API solutions within AWS and Kubernetes-based environments
Configure and support IBM DataPower Gateway and API Gateway policies
Implement and support API security standards including:
OAuth 2.0
OpenID Connect
JWT
TLS
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, application teams, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions
Provide technical leadership through:
Design guidance
Code reviews
Troubleshooting support
Mentorship of junior developers
Support release planning, deployment activities, defect resolution, and production support
Ensure adherence to API governance, logging, monitoring, performance, and operational best practices

Requirements

7+ years of experience in integration, API development, and middleware technologies
3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC)
Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes
Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical integration solutions
Strong experience designing and developing REST and SOAP services
Strong understanding of API security standards including:
OAuth 2.0
OpenID Connect
JWT
TLS
Experience with:
JSON
XML
XSLT
API design best practices
Hands-on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway
Experience deploying and managing APIs within cloud and containerized environments
