ERP Enablement Lead

The ERP Enablement Lead is responsible for overseeing the organization’s primary enterprise resource system called Canopy with a focus on ERP administration, end-user training and enablement, security, and optimization. This role ensures our ERP technology is stable, our teams are trained on best practices, and the design and configuration is aligned with business priorities., ERP & Business Systems Management & Support

• Administer, maintain, and optimize the Canopy ERP system.
• Provide user support, resolve system issues, and serve as the primary point of contact for ERP-related needs.
• Develop training materials (including SOPs, workflows, and videos) and conduct training sessions for employees to maximize ERP usage.
• Serve as an ERP subject matter expert to support other integrated business systems and our data warehouse / datalake to ensure smooth integration and accurate data management.
• Develop deep technical expertise in our ERP system (Canopy) through hands-on learning, experimentation, and documentation review
• Collaborate cross-functionally across client teams (Finance, Sales, Warehouse, and Operations) and provide end-user training
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Simplify technical jargon into understandable messaging

Project Leadership

• Lead and manage ERP systems-related projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions.
• Act as the liaison with our ERP vendor (Aspen Systems), ensuring accurate, cost-effective, and timely service.
• Identify opportunities to streamline business processes through system enhancements.
• Communicate system updates, changes, and timelines clearly across the organization.

Technology Strategy

• Recommend and implement system improvements that align with company strategy.
• Maintain system documentation, workflows, and compliance standards.
• Monitor new technologies and make recommendations for adoption where appropriate., * Have you been involved with a successful end-to-end software implementation? If so, what software did you implement?
• Have you developed training materials and conducted training sessions for employees to maximize ERP usage or other software usage?

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of ERP or IT systems management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage vendor relationships.
• Strong problem-solving, training, and communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Ability to come onsite every work day with occasional Saturday and Sunday availability
• Willingness to travel to Kansas City or Milwaukee on an as needed basis
• Demonstrated success in end-to-end software implementations
• Experience administering multiple ERP software packages
• Proficiency in SQL or equivalent query language, * SQL or query language: 2 years (Required)
• ERP Systems: 5 years (Required)
