Job description

The Enterprise IT Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and evolving Heartland Coca-Cola’s overall IT architecture across infrastructure, cloud, security, OT, applications, data, analytics, and automation platforms. This role ensures technology solutions are designed holistically, align with business strategy, comply with security and operational standards, and scale effectively across the enterprise. The Enterprise IT Architect partners closely with IT leadership, business and technology teams, cyber security, and third party vendors (CONA, Capgemini and Coca-Cola IT partners) to provide technical direction and architectural oversight across all major initiatives. Job Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain Heartland’s enterprise architecture, standards, and technology roadmaps across infrastructure, cloud, security, OT, ERP, data, analytics, automation, AI and third parties.
  • Provide architectural oversight and technical direction for IT initiatives to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with business and operational needs.
  • Design end-to-end architectures spanning data centers, cloud platforms, manufacturing environments, networks, applications, data platforms, and integration layers.
  • Partner across all IT teams to translate business requirements into cohesive technology architectures. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to IT leaders, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Establish and enforce architecture governance processes, including design reviews, standards adherence, and lifecycle planning.
  • Collaborate with external vendor partners, CONA and other bottlers to align on shared platforms, architectures, and enterprise standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and platforms, recommending adoption based on business value, risk, operational readiness, and total cost of ownership.
  • Develop and maintain current-state and future-state architecture documentation and roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of one year of work experience required, or a minimum of five years of progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or senior technical engineering roles preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple IT domains including infrastructure, cloud, security, agentic AI, OT/manufacturing, applications, and data platforms.
  • Experience in large, distributed, or operationally complex environments preferred; Coca-Cola system experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture including networks, compute, storage, cloud platforms, identity, and security.
  • Experience with OT/IT integration, manufacturing environments, and industrial cyber security considerations.
  • Knowledge of ERP ecosystems, data platforms, BI/analytics, and automation technologies.
  • Ability to think holistically across systems rather than optimizing individual components in isolation.
  • Strong analytical, systems-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence architectural decisions without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to distill complex architectures into clear, actionable guidance.
