Lecturer - HTQ Level 4 Data Analyst

To deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment for the HTQ Level 4 Data Analyst qualification, equipping learners with the analytical, technical, and professional skills required for entry-level roles in data analysis.

The lecturer will provide engaging, industry-relevant teaching, support learner progression, and contribute to curriculum development aligned with employer needs and current data practices., Teaching & Learning

• Plan and deliver engaging sessions across core data analytics topics, including Data analysis techniques, Data visualisation, Statistical methods, etc.
• Use practical, hands-on teaching approaches and deliver both classroom-based and online/blended learning.

· Deliver both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills using industry tools

• Ensure teaching reflects current tools, technologies, and industry practices.

Assessment & Quality Assurance

• Design and deliver assessments in line with HTQ and awarding body requirements (e.g., NCFE).
• Provide detailed and timely feedback to learners.
• Track learner progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Participate in internal verification and external quality assurance processes.

Student Support

• Provide academic and pastoral support.
• Monitor attendance, engagement, and achievement.
• Support learners with progression into employment or higher study.
• Embed employability and professional behaviours.

Curriculum Development

• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Data Analyst curriculum.
• Work with employers to embed real-world data problems.

Do you have experience in Teaching?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

• Teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards
• Level 6+ qualification in a relevant discipline

Essential Experience

• Experience delivering data-related teaching or training
• Practical experience using:
• Excel (advanced)
• Data visualisation tools (Power BI / Tableau)
• SQL databases
• Experience working with real datasets and business analysis scenarios
