Job description

HireArt is helping our client find Systems Technicians to serve as a critical technical resource responsible for diagnosing complex hardware and software issues, maintaining test infrastructure, and supporting the deployment of advanced autonomous and robotic systems.

In this role, you’ll act as a bridge between Operations and Engineering, troubleshooting cross-functional system failures, developing testing procedures, and creating the documentation that enables scalable deployment and support.

The ideal candidate has broad technical knowledge across hardware, software, networking, and system integration, along with strong analytical thinking, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.

Available Shifts AM: 6:00AM-2:30PM, Monday-Friday PM: 2:00PM-10:30PM, Monday-Friday

Note: Initial training will follow a Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule for approximately two weeks before transitioning to one of the shift options above.

As a Systems Technician, you’ll:

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex hardware, software, and system integration issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve cross-disciplinary failures involving sensors, computing platforms, networking, power systems, and software applications.
  • Own and maintain test bench environments used for validation, troubleshooting, and deployment readiness.
  • Develop, execute, and improve bench-testing procedures and validation specifications.
  • Investigate system performance issues and identify root causes through structured troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to validate fixes, reproduce issues, and improve product reliability.
  • Create and maintain installation guides, build documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and technical reference materials.
  • Develop architecture diagrams, workflow documentation, and operational processes to support field teams.
  • Support commissioning, integration, and deployment activities as needed.
  • Analyze logs, system outputs, and diagnostic data to support issue resolution.
  • Train and support technicians and operators on installation, testing, and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Troubleshooting schematics?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * A high school diploma or GED

  • 5+ years of hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting experience
  • Strong experience troubleshooting both hardware and software systems
  • Proficiency working in Linux environments and command-line interfaces
  • Experience with system integration, validation, or technical operations
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and identify root causes
  • Experience interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and system diagrams
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An associate’s degree or technical certification
  • Experience supporting robotics, autonomous vehicles, embedded systems, aerospace, automotive, or industrial automation environments
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, communication protocols, and data logging systems
  • Experience with sensor integration, calibration, and diagnostics
  • Exposure to software deployment, system commissioning, and validation processes
  • Experience creating technical procedures, training materials, or operational documentation
  • Understanding of quality systems, testing methodologies, and failure analysis

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in office, laboratory, garage, warehouse, and vehicle testing environments
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform hands-on technical work as needed
  • Ability to work both at a computer workstation and with physical hardware systems
