Job description

Devices Data Services (DDS) within NA Sales and Marketing is looking for a passionate and solution oriented Business Intelligence Engineer to run analytical solutions that deepen our collective understanding of customers, influence innovation, and deliver actionable insights., * Enable decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources to present in a digestible and actionable format

  • Architect efficient data models for analysis and reporting

  • Work with product teams to identify gaps and trends in existing reporting

  • Analyze large data sets using a variety of database query and visualization tools

  • Provide technical expertise in extracting, integrating, and analyzing critical data

  • Design and develop key performance metrics and indicators using standardized and custom reports

  • Perform ad hoc analysis to quickly solve time sensitive operational issues and business cases

  • Clearly communicate any potential discrepancies and/or reporting downtime, including specific root cause, steps to resolution, and resolution date to a large end-user base

  • Work with subject matter experts to document and translate business requirements into technical requirements

  • Manage multiple projects and proactively communicate issues, priorities, and objectives

A day in the life

In this role you will work with stakeholders that manage parts of the Amazon onsite or offsite sales experience. You will help determine the best available data to solve their problems, then generate ETL that will be the foundation of reporting meant to provide insightful information.

Requirements

5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
