Job description
Plexlane Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Architect to lead enterprise cybersecurity modernization and infrastructure transformation initiatives within regulated and mission-critical environments, including Aerospace & Defense, manufacturing, engineering, and critical communications sectors.
This role will serve as a senior technical and operational leader responsible for infrastructure architecture, cybersecurity remediation planning, identity and access modernization, endpoint security, network hardening, operational stabilization, and enterprise transformation delivery across complex hybrid environments.
The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on technical expertise with proven leadership experience managing large infrastructure and cybersecurity organizations, programs, and distributed engineering teams., * Lead large-scale infrastructure and cybersecurity transformation initiatives across enterprise environments
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for:
- Active Directory remediation and modernization
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
- SIEM/logging infrastructure
- Network segmentation and NAC
- Vulnerability management and remediation
- Architect and support modernization of mixed infrastructure environments including:
- VMware
- Nutanix
- Hyper-V
- Proxmox
- Windows Server
- Linux
- Lead operational stabilization, infrastructure normalization, and remediation programs across partially undocumented environments
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering, and operational teams
- Support customer executive briefings, governance reviews, roadmap planning, and remediation prioritization
- Develop remediation strategies, architecture standards, implementation sequencing, and operational governance models
- Balance cybersecurity objectives with operational continuity and engineering/business requirements
- Support hybrid onsite/remote delivery activities and executive stakeholder engagement
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * 15+ years of enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and architecture experience
- Proven experience managing large infrastructure and/or cybersecurity teams in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- Active Directory
- Windows Server
- VMware and/or Nutanix
- Enterprise networking
- Cybersecurity tooling and remediation
- Experience supporting regulated environments aligned to:
- NIST SP 800-171
- CMMC
- ISO 27001
- Similar cybersecurity/compliance frameworks
- Experience leading large remediation, transformation, or modernization programs
- Strong operational leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to work effectively within ambiguous, rapidly evolving, and operationally sensitive environments
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace & Defense or regulated industry experience
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, OT, or lab environments
- Experience with:
- CrowdStrike
- Rapid7
- BeyondTrust
- Aruba NAC/ClearPass
- Silverfort
- DUO
- GCC High, Azure Gov, or AWS GovCloud experience
- Prior consulting, MSP, or MSSP leadership experience
- CISSP, CCSP, MCSE, VCP, or equivalent certifications
Travel Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% as required by client engagements and program needs
- Comfortable supporting onsite workshops, remediation coordination, executive governance sessions, and operational stabilization activities across multiple client locations
Benefits & conditions
$115 - $125 an hour - Contract, * Senior consulting / contract leadership role

Pay: $115.00 - $125.00 per hour
