…And that’s a wrap on the WeAreDevelopers Congress North America!
Our first ever event in North America is in the books, and we would like to thank every single one of you for making it so special, such a success and three truly unforgettable days!
🙌 Thank You to the WeAreDevelopers Community
The vibes at the World Congress North America were incredible, and we couldn’t be prouder to see so many of our community members come together in San Jose. We had over 10,000 attendees, 500 speakers, and hundreds of partners come together across the three days of speaker sessions, workshops, masterclasses, networking opportunities (and of course, the Congress Party 🥳).
Simon Willison’s Closing Keynote
This year we were lucky to have the co-creator of the Django web framework and long-time blogger and speaker Simon Willison give the closing keynote to the Congress, which along with hundreds of sessions will be available to watch on the platform very soon.

🔴 LIVE in San Jose
This week we took WeAreDevelopers LIVE on-the-road, with our fantastic audience getting involved and giving us their thoughts on the state of software development, AI and building in 2026.
🗞️ Fake or News XXL
We had a great time taking Fake or News with us to San Jose, with the top 5 players from across the two gamessmashing all previous records, with our gold medalist, Jeffrey Yu correctly identifying 19 of the 20 would-be headlines. If you’ve seen a previous version of Fake or News, like this one with Bramus Van Damme, you’ll know how impressive that is.
☕ Coffee with Developers: Ryan Sinnott
This past Friday, the featured Coffee with Developers episode was with Ryan Sinnott, CTO and Founder of Feed4ward, an app that helps tradespeople share honest reviews of the people they work with, recorded live in Corgi Cafe, San Francisco.
We talk about how he builds software for markets that are often overlooked, and hopes to make a humble but meaningful difference with the software that he builds. Don’t forget you can listen to every episode on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

In last week’s Tool Showcase we looked at Snapzy, a free and open source screen capture tool perfect for screen recordings and beautifying screenshots all in one native macOS app.
