It’s been another busy week at WeAreDevelopers, with Kelsey Hightower headlining the Dev Digest, a fantastic LIVE show getting back to basics, two rounds of Fake or News, and a packed week of Magazine content. Here’s everything you might have missed.
🔴 LIVE and Fake or News: Luise Freese and Eleftheria Batsou
This week’s LIVE episode featured Luise Freese - Azure & Power Platform Architect - in Read more, Prompt Less, where we talked about why reading (and even writing) books is what will keep the craft of engineering alive in the age of AI shortcuts, why enterprise AI prototypes stall in production, and a look at the news from the week.
Luise also took on a round of Fake or News, with Poetry Malware, Slovenian Domains and Self Checkouts. Can you tell which headlines are real?
Eleftheria Batsou, Developer Advocate at UptimeRobot, joined us for a round of Fake or News, to decide whether there are batteries made of sand, if AI can create picture-perfect maps, and whether Paul McCartney got kicked off of Reddit.

If you haven’t yet watched Kelsey Hightower’s World Congress North America talk, ZTA: Zero Token Architecture, now’s the time. It’s about using AI to work out a solution once, then running the result as ordinary code instead of paying for an LLM every time.
