When and where will WeAreDevelopers World Congress North America take place?
WeAreDevelopers World Congress North America takes place 23–25 September 2026 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, 150 W San Carlos St, San Jose, CA.
Is there a pre-check-in before the event?
Yes. We recommend completing your pre-check-in on 23 September 2026 to avoid queues on the conference opening day (24 September 2026). Multiple pre-check-in locations and time slots will be available. Final details will be announced closer to the event.
Will the talks be recorded for on-demand viewing?
Yes. All talks will be recorded and made available on the WeAreDevelopers platform for registered event participants.
How and where can I register for workshops?
You can register for workshops through the official event app. To access workshop registration, your event ticket must be assigned to your email address. Workshops are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and a waitlist will be available once sessions are full. Notifications about workshop registration will be sent via the event app.
Is there an event app?
Yes! The event app is your essential companion for the congress. You’ll receive an email notification once the app is ready for login, sent to the email address linked to your assigned ticket. To sign in, use the same email address your ticket was assigned to. Your ticket is stored in the app for faster check-in. Add the app to your home screen and enable push notifications to stay up to date. The app is the only way to reserve a seat at workshops. Workshop registration opens the weeks before the event and operates on a first come, first served basis with a waitlist option. The app also includes: the full congress program, a personalized session schedule, an exhibitor directory and other useful event info, and access to live-streamed sessions and on-demand content after the event. We highly recommend signing in and using the app throughout the event.
How do I become a speaker at the event?
Speaker applications are handled through our official Call for Speakers announcements on the event website. All information about requirements, timelines, and how to apply is published there whenever submissions are open.
Which speakers will be at the event?
Speakers are announced on the event website and updated continuously. New speakers are added as soon as they are confirmed.

Tickets
I have bought a ticket but I changed my mind. Can I get a refund?
No. The event has a no-refund policy. However, you can transfer your ticket to another person at any time before the event. Your ticket confirmation email includes instructions on how to update the attendee details.
How do I receive my ticket and invoice?
Your ticket and invoice are sent to you automatically by email right after your purchase. If you don’t receive the email or need the documents again, you can request a resend at tickets@wearedevelopers.com.
Are daily tickets available?
No, we do not offer daily tickets for WeAreDevelopers World Congress.
Travel & Accommodation
Do you recommend any specific hotels to stay at?
Yes. We partner with several hotels near the venue. Once the partner hotels are confirmed, they will be listed on the event website, including any available attendee discounts.
Venue & On-Site
Is there a Lost & Found?
Yes. Lost & Found is located at the registration desk. If you’re missing or have found an item, please speak to our staff there.
Will I be able to charge my phone or laptop?
Yes. There will be several charging stations and designated charging areas throughout the venue.
Does the venue offer free Wi-Fi?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi will be available for all attendees throughout the venue.
Is there a cloakroom?
Yes. A cloakroom will be available on-site for storing your belongings. Please note that this service is chargeable.
Am I allowed to take photos or videos at the event?
Yes. You may take photos and videos for private use. Any commercial use of event footage requires prior written consent from WeAreDevelopers. For permission requests, please contact help@wearedevelopers.com.
Is the event accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes. The venue is fully accessible and includes features such as ramps, elevators, and accessible restrooms. If you have specific accessibility needs or require assistance, please contact help@wearedevelopers.com before the event so we can support you.
