Job description
To accelerate our market growth, we're seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer who understands both the world of IT security and the practical challenges of modern networking. You'll act as a key interface between customers, partners, and our internal product development team - shaping the next generation of quantum-secure infrastructure.
As a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer, you will work closely with our sales and engineering teams to understand customer needs, design high-level secure network architectures, and ensure our quantum products are integrated effectively.
You will collaborate directly with customers, partners, and integrators to align on technical concepts and translate these into concrete solution designs. Your insights from the field will also help steer our product roadmap to meet real-world demands.
Solution Design & Architecture
- Translate customer requirements into scalable and secure eQKD-based network designs
- Define integration strategies for QKD with classical IT security and telecom infrastructure
- Lead technical workshops and discussions with CISOs, network architects, and system integrators
Pre-Sales Engagement
- Collaborate with account managers to provide technical expertise throughout the sales process
- Create technical proposals, white papers, and architectural documentation
- Deliver presentations and live demos that communicate technical value clearly and credibly
Product Feedback Loop
- Capture detailed customer feedback, pain points, and functional requirements
- Work with the product and R&D teams to evolve our offering based on field input
- Identify patterns across use cases and recommend roadmap adjustments
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, systems engineering, or solution architect role
- Strong understanding of IT security, cryptographic concepts, and enterprise networking (firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, PKI, etc.)
- Familiarity with secure communication architectures and network design principles
- Strong communication skills in German and English, capable of engaging both business and technical audiences
- Ability to work across teams, align diverse stakeholders, and simplify complexity
- Experience working with critical infrastructure, telecoms, or public sector clients is a plus
- Bonus: familiarity with quantum technologies or interest in learning fast
