Job description
- Defining new software products/options in close coordination with our customers, sales, and development
- Capturing, elaborating, and prioritizing software requirements in close collaboration with development and incorporating stakeholder feedback
- Opening up new market segments with a focus on the software portfolio
- Developing the strategy for technological development (roadmap) and contributing to the overall strategy of the business unit
- Monitoring and evaluating market developments and identifying customer needs
- Preparing business cases, quantitative assessment of the financial viability of new product developments in the area of software/automation
- Defining marketing priorities and working closely with the marketing department to implement effective marketing campaigns
- Leading smaller development projects for proof-of-concept developments
- Supporting the sales team (answering technical questions, providing technical information materials, etc.)
Requirements
- Master's degree in a technical or scientific field required.
- Experience in product management or software sales is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and hands-on mentality are a must., * Completed studies (Master's degree) in a technical or scientific field
- Experience in product management or sales of software products or at least several years of experience as a user or developer of, for example, CAD or graphics software
- Experience in requirements management and specification creation as well as a structured, methodical approach to capturing and prioritizing requirements
- Experience in the field of automation/robotics is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills
- Open, communicative, and resilient personality with the ability to address all relevant stakeholders (customer, sales, development, service, production) at various levels
- Talent to inspire others with your own ideas and drive implementation in development
- Hands-on mentality
- Willingness to travel (approx. 10-20%), mainly in the DACH region, occasionally internationally
- Fluent German in spoken and written form (at least C2 level)
- Very good English skills in spoken and written form (at least C1 level)
