Job description

Create and maintain the technical foundation that supports our automation stack-connecting RPA, AI, APIs, and internal tools into a cohesive system.

  • Select and evaluate technologies. Choose the right tools (e.g., UiPath vs. Automation Anywhere, OpenAI vs. Gemini, n8n vs. custom-built flows) based on what delivers the best long-term value.

  • Build for scale and resilience. Design systems that can grow with the company. Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and smooth deployment processes with minimal downtime.

  • Implement secure and compliant solutions. Integrate best practices for data protection, identity access, secrets management, and compliance (GDPR, SOC2, etc.) from the start.

  • Define technical standards. Create documentation and templates for how code should be written, errors handled, and systems monitored-so other developers can build with confidence and consistency.

  • Translate business needs into system design. Work with non-technical stakeholders to understand their goals, then create clear architecture diagrams and guide developers through implementation.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve. Stay current on new tools, AI frameworks, orchestration platforms, and MLOps practices. Pilot new solutions quickly and adopt what works.

Requirements

8+ years designing enterprise systems-focusing on automation, integration, or large distributed software platforms.

  • Technical versatility: Fluent in APIs, data pipelines, message queues, microservices, and also experienced in working with older systems like SQL-based platforms.

  • Scalability focus: You've worked through production issues, solved them at the root cause, and helped others avoid the same problem again.

  • AI awareness: You know when to use a fine-tuned model and when a simple prompt or API call is enough.

  • Security knowledge: You can map system vulnerabilities and suggest secure architectures quickly and clearly.

  • Strong communicator: Able to explain designs to executives and mentor technical teams. Comfortable reviewing code and guiding teams to higher standards.

Your Skills and Tools

  • Automation Tools: UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, custom Python or Rust bots
  • AI & Integration: OpenAI Assistants, Google Gemini, LangChain, n8n, microservices (FastAPI, gRPC)
  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines
  • Data & MLOps: Kafka, Snowflake, BigQuery, MLflow, Vertex AI, SageMaker, feature stores
  • Security & Compliance: OAuth2, OIDC, secrets management, zero-trust architecture, GDPR/PCI/SOC2 frameworks

Benefits & conditions

An inclusive, friendly, and international environment (you'll be working with colleagues from +10 countries and over 48 nationalities)

  • Shorter working week (36h as full time), with a half working day on Fridays
  • Flexible start and end of the working day
