AI Engineer

As a Parashift AI Engineer, you'll power the next generation of our AI-driven document automation platform, building and scaling state-of-the-art models that understand complex documents at enterprise scale. Your role will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries using GNNs, LLMs, and Computer Vision, delivering measurable accuracy and speed gains for clients across Europe. Collaborating closely with the Head of AI, our CTO, and the Product & Technology team, you'll turn research into production systems and help keeping Parashift at the forefront of document AI. Here's what you'll do:

• Extend and maintain the AI cluster, enhancing GNNs, LLMs, and Computer Vision models with new architectures, optimizations, and data pipelines.
• Help designing breakthrough models and features from research to deployment.
• Influence AI methodology, proposing and validating new or improved approaches in entity extraction, layout analysis, and multimodal understanding.
• Conduct comprehensive benchmarking, defining metrics, running A/B tests, and ensuring models exceed SLAs for accuracy, latency, and robustness.
• Ship AI to production, integrating with backend services
• Monitor and maintain deployed systems.
• Drive code quality through reviews, providing constructive feedback on AI and adjacent backend code.
• Collaborate cross-functionally, partnering with developers, DevOps, and Product to align AI roadmaps.
• Present your work internally, explaining complex AI concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences during demos and all-hands.

Do you have experience in Google Cloud Platform?, * 2+ years professional Python3 development with modern practices (Docker, Git, CI/CD).

• Deep learning expertise - hands-on with PyTorch, JAX, or similar; strong grasp of AI fundamentals (training, evaluation, optimization).
• AI architecture proficiency - experience building and deploying GNNs, LLMs, Computer Vision, and multimodal models.
• High-performance engineering - any experience optimizing inference, GPU/TPU utilization, or distributed training is a plus.
• GCP familiarity - exposure to Google Cloud ML, Vertex AI, GKE, or Cloud Run is a plus.
• Proficiency in AI-supported development: Comfortable with GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, or Cursor to accelerate delivery.
• Fluent written & spoken English - clear, precise, and confident.
• Excellent communication - able to explain complex AI concepts to engineers and stakeholders.
• EU or Swiss citizenship or valid work permit in Switzerland.
