(Senior) Linux / System Engineer, 100% in Zug

• Ensure high availability of a globally distributed infrastructure
• Monitor systems for outage and repair as needed
• Maintain and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools
• Develop and maintain configuration management solutions
• Create tools to help other users make the most out of the available infrastructure
• Office IT for Mac and Windows users

• Fluent English required
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage own workload
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Overcome language and cultural barriers
• Experience with Linux servers (RedHat based, Debian based)
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of Linux services
• Strong grasp of configuration management tools, such as Ansible
• Ability to troubleshoot problems with various Linux distributions
• Ability to build and monitor services on production servers
• Experience with Physical Server hardware
• Experience with Virtualization Platforms - VMware, Proxmox or KVM
• Experience with Container Platforms - Kubernetes, Docker, Podman
• Experience with FreeIPA, Prometheus, Bareos, Proxmox Backup Server, Loki, Opensearch or Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SIP, RunDeck, and AWX is considered a plus
• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc) is considered a plus
