Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated System Engineer with a strong background in Electronics Engineering to join our R&D team developing laboratory automation devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining complex systems that combine hardware, software, and electronic components. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams in R&D, software, hardware, and manufacturing. This role requires a combination of system vision and hands-on practicality: the ability to design electronics, prototype quickly, and think ahead about compliance, reliability, and product lifecycle. We value candidates who are driven by curiosity and a love of creating and bringing complex systems to life! Responsibilities: System Design & Integration
- Develop system architectures combining electronics, firmware development and ensure seamless interaction between subsystems. Consider risks and possible failure during development choices.
Electronics & Firmware Expertise
- Debug, validate, and maintain existing electronics solutions.
- Schematic capture, PCB design, layout and routing.
- Develop embedded firmware (C on STM32 or similar microcontrollers).
- Apply good design practices for compliance (EMC, safety, certification).
Prototyping & Hands-On Work
- Build and test prototypes (cabling, PCB manipulation, soldering, assembly).
- Rapidly evaluate concepts with practical experimentation.
External Collaboration
- Work with external companies developing electronics or subsystems.
- Review and challenge their designs, ensuring alignment with requirements and compliance needs., We can make reasonable adjustments to our interview process according to your needs.

Do you have experience in PCB?, Do you have a Master's degree?, + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in System Engineering or Electronics design roles.
- Strong experience with electronic design.
- Good experience in embedded firmware development (C, STM32).
- Awareness of compliance requirements (EMC, safety, certification).
- Experience in system-level integration of multidisciplinary products.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB design, layout and routine tools.
- Hands-on with lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
- Comfortable with rapid prototyping (wiring, soldering, assembling).
- Familiar and comfortable with communication protocols (I2C, CAN, Ethernet, etc.).
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance (EMC, safety, etc.).
- Knowledge of risk analysis methods is a plus., + System-level thinking and ability to take a step back from details.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
