Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior System Architect to lead the development of advanced Body Control Modules (BCMs) in the automotive domain. This role involves translating customer needs and market trends into robust technical specifications, overseeing system architecture and validation, and managing a team of system engineers. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automotive embedded systems, system engineering, and model-based development, with a strong track record of working with leading OEMs. Key Responsibilities: Customer & Market Alignment: Translate customer requirements and market trends into technical specifications for body features such as Central Locking, Antitheft Systems, and Terminal Control. System Architecture & Development Lead the design and development of Body Control Modules and ensure alignment with system-level requirements. Oversee the validation and integration of BCMs into vehicle platforms. Team & Project Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 15+ system engineers, ensuring timely delivery of system requirements and design documentation. Drive cross-functional collaboration between hardware, software, and validation teams. System Engineering & ASPICE Compliance: Ensure compliance with ASPICE SYS.1, SYS.2, and SYS.3 processes. Derive and manage system requirements from high-level specifications. Model-Based Development: Utilize Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow for system modeling and simulation. Implement code generation using Embedded Coder or TargetLink. OEM Collaboration: Work closely with major OEMs such as Volkswagen (VW), Mercedes-Benz (MB), BMW, and Stellantis to align system development with vehicle platform needs.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Simulink?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or related field. Technical Skills: Experience in body features such as Central Locking, Antitheft Systems, and Terminal Control. Experience in Manage and mentoring a team of 15+ system engineers, ensuring timely delivery of system requirements and design documentation. Strong experience in System Architecture and System Engineering. Proficiency in ASPICE system-level processes. Hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, Embedded Coder, and TargetLink. Leadership: Proven ability to lead large technical teams and manage complex projects. Language: Native German speaker or EU citizen with C1-level German proficiency.
