Job description
We're looking for a Lead Designer who will combine hands-on design excellence with leadership impact. As a player-coach you'll spend part of your time as an individual contributor (IC) & part leading & coaching our design team. Depending on your craft, the IC element of the role can focus on either UI or UX design., * Champion a strong design vision that supports our product strategy & brand identity.

Ensure design coherence across the entire product portfolio.

Coach, mentor & inspire our UX & UI designers to grow their skills & confidence.

Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation & customer empathy.

Lead initiatives to evolve our Design System & introduce modern AI design tooling that improves quality & efficiency., * Collaborate across squads to craft stunning, delivery-ready UIs that seamlessly blend in with our brand's visual identity, making our software simple & delightful to use.

Play an active role in the evolution of our Design System. Create, maintain, & document components as well as UI guidelines. Help bring order to component libraries & guide best practices for creating shared design assets.

Work with Product Designers to elevate our product's aesthetics through inspiring concepts and insightful feedback.
If UX-focused:
- Collaborate with your squad (product manager & engineers) to uncover customer needs, test ideas & deliver elegant, usable solutions.
- Participate in the end-to-end design process from discovery & ideation to delivery & implementation.
- Use research insights & data to validate design decisions & continuously improve the user experience.
- For bonus points: give life to our stories with micro-animations & illustrations, adding that extra sprinkle of magic.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Usability?, * 7+ years of design experience, including 2+ years mentoring/managing designers.
- Expertise in either UI or UX design, with strong fundamentals in the other.
- Proven ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on design work.
- Experience in modern SaaS product environments (B2B is a strong plus).
- Strong proficiency in Figma, experience working with design systems & a good grasp of usability & accessibility principles.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience in cross-functional settings.
- Fluent in English & a confident communicator who can explain design choices with ease.
