SAP is launching a bold, long-term initiative to explore the transformative potential of Quantum Technologies in enterprise software. Anchored within the Office of the CTO and led by a dedicated Head of Quantum, within SCM Optimization & Data Science we are building a world-class team of experts across physics, algorithms, engineering, and enterprise domains. This effort aims to develop quantum-enabled applications, foster collaboration across business units, and grow an ecosystem of partners, start-ups, and research institutions.
The Quantum Optimization Service Infrastructure Architect will play a pivotal role in merging Quantum Hardware and Software Stack with classical Cloud-Architectures. Responsible for the Cloud-Services in relation to Quantum Hardware, this role will integrate the SAP Stack with the external Quantum Stack - in close collaboration with Quantum Hardware Providers, both internationally and locally in Munich in the Munich Quantum Valley and the LRZ.
The Role:
- Lead the architectural integration of Quantum Hardware and Software Stack with classical Cloud-Architectures to create seamless and efficient systems.
- Oversee the management and optimization of Cloud Services related to Quantum Hardware, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Integrate the SAP Stack with the external Quantum Stack, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization across different environments.
- Define, ensure, and orchestrate non-functional cloud qualities such as scalability, security, and performance for various Quantum Hard- and Software Stacks.
- Collaborate with Quantum Hardware Providers, both internationally and locally, including those in the Munich Quantum Valley and the LRZ, to stay abreast of the latest technological advancements.
- Manage and execute strategic projects that align with SAP's Quantum initiative, using advanced project management skills to ensure timely and successful completion.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Project management?, * Intimate understanding of the classical computing stack.
- Intimate understanding of Quantum Hardware and Quantum Algorithms
- Degree in Quantum Physics (or Quantum Computing) and ideally in combination with a degree in Computer Science.
- Strong background in project management.
- Ability to collaborate with international and local Quantum Hardware Providers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly professional and structured working style.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment that crosses organizational boundaries while managing global stakeholder networks
