Job description
As a Concepts & Solution Engineer (m/f/d) - Floating PV, you will lead the technical development of BayWa r.e.'s Floating PV standards. You'll evaluate components, suppliers, and technical solutions to enhance the quality, reliability, performance, and competitiveness of our Floating PV projects. Your role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement, and to develop solutions that meet both project-specific conditions and market needs. You will also manage technical knowledge sharing across BayWa r.e. entities and provide direct technical support on projects. What will you do
- Define requirements and specifications of components for Floating-PV products, from electrical components to floating structures and Anchoring & Mooring.
- Identify cost-saving potential strategies as well as de-risking opportunities, and evaluate techno-economical feasibility.
- Develop in collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders and partners, technical concepts and solutions for specific project boundary conditions.
- Develop internal standards, tools and guidelines, and provide consultancy and training to enable local Project Developers, Project Managers and Project Engineers to implement the defined standards.
- Collaborate with Operation and Warranty teams to troubleshoot Floating-specific issues in operational projects.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Microsoft Word?, * Mechanical/Civil Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Solar or Maritime domain, ncluding at least 2 years specifically in the Floating-PV domain.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
- Good data processing skills is a plus.
- Understanding of PV market trends and developments.
- Creative, independent, practical and innovative mind-set.
- Understanding of statics, hydrodynamics.
- Understanding of PV electrical layout and components (LV DC, LV AC, up to MV).
- Exposure to on-site activities is considered a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and Word .
- Proficiency in CAD, PVSyst, Workfront is a plus.
- Fluency in English, German preferred, other languages are a plus.
