Job description
This team is responsible for managing the portfolio of products and services used in driver assistance and autonomous driving vehicles. The scope covers all related products in HERE's portfolio from standard definition data for driver assistance solutions to centimeter-accurate lane data & services for hands-free driving. Additionally, the team will create immersive in-car use cases and software products to highlight the benefits of driver assistance. We handle topics and processes related to the creation of new offerings, ranging from ideation, pricing, development and taking solutions into the market. To achieve this we participate in various activities with partners and customers to capture the market needs., * Android Application Development: Develop robust Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, following best practices and architectural patterns.
- Performance Optimization: Write efficient, performant code with careful attention to memory footprint and resource usage, ensuring applications run smoothly in vehicle environments.
- Quality and Safety: Contribute to the development of high-quality applications that prioritize driver safety, participating in code reviews and testing processes.
- SDK Integration: Implement features using the Here SDK library, integrating mapping and location services into vehicle dashboard systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with your team, including senior developers and product stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of professional Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Solid understanding of Android platform fundamentals, including lifecycle management and system architecture.
- Experience building performant applications with attention to memory optimization.
- Experience with REST APIs and mobile app architecture patterns.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Git and agile development practices.
Nice to have:
- Experience with automotive or embedded systems.
- Experience with the Here SDK or similar mapping libraries.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Experience with Android testing frameworks and practices.
