Job description
As Lead Frontend Developer, you'll define our frontend strategy, hire, guide and enable 12 engineers, and drive the UX transformation that makes our platform the new industry standard. You'll work directly with our Product Designer, Engineering Manager, and CEO to improve the experience of workforce management software. At scale. You'll lead frontend development for our workforce management platform with a dual focus on UX and scalability. That means setting the technical direction, making high-level architectural choices, and ensuring your team delivers features that matter, at the scale our ambitions demand.
Here's what makes this role different: we work in focused six-week cycles followed by two-week cooldowns. No sprint theater, no haphazard context-switching, no whiteboards covered in sticky notes. Instead, you get time to build things properly, to prep, ship, refine, and prepare for what's next. Our CTO codes as fanatically as anyone on the team (try keeping up) and expects you to pick things up as you go: to fix problems before they become Jira tickets, spot architectural issues before they become technical debt, and build systems that don't need band aids.
You'll have autonomy to make impactful decisions, access to the resources you need, including cutting-edge tech, and direct influence over why, what, and how we code. No bureaucracy, no approval chains, no red tape. At Dyflexis, we play to win. Not by working harder, but by working smarter, together. You'll celebrate team wins over individual heroics. And you'll build a culture where engineers challenge each other's thinking, share knowledge freely, and push the platform forward as one unified force. That's how we win bigger together. Core responsibilities:
- Define the frontend architecture and technical standards for multi-market deployment
- Hire, coach, and grow a team of 12 frontend engineers, including code reviews and driving the adoption of best practices
- Guide the implementation of engagement tools, e-learning systems
- Make technology decisions that balance current needs with scalability
- Partner with Product and Design to deliver the features that users need most
The tech stack includes Vue.js 3, Ionic, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD, React, modern tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments. Plus whatever tooling you introduce., You'll earn up to €8,000 per month, work hybrid (2 days/week at our HQ), and join a bootstrapped company that's profitable and reinvesting aggressively in its products and people. No VC pressure, no corporate bloat, no bureaucratic quagmire. You'll work on systems serving renowned brands, leveraging a modern stack in a post-scrum environment that values focus over velocity theater. You'll build your team from scratch, which means you define what winning looks like. We're talking about a culture where engineers co-own the roadmap, where cross-functional collaboration isn't a buzzword but daily practice, and where team success determines your success. When your team ships a killer feature, everyone celebrates. Not just the person who wrote the last line of code.
Enticing extra's
- A modern tech stack:Vue.js 3, Ionic, Docker, GitLab CI/CD
- Enterprise clients: every line of code has impact
- A personal development budget
- An in-house chef, ARJ Boxing gym membership, and a solid pension plan
- 25 vacation days + your birthday off
- 8% vacation pay, option to buy/sell vacation days
Why now matters We have 10 frontend vacancies to fill. You'll help define what frontend engineering looks like at Dyflexis. Crucially, the decisions you make in the next 6-12 months will shape how we scale across Europe and into the US. If you can guide a team through meaningful growth and are eager to build solutions that matter, unburdened by legacy constraints and corporate silos, this is your chance.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vue.js?, You've spent 7+ years building production frontend applications and have led teams through complex technical challenges. You know Vue.js 3 intimately (we'll settle for 3+ years of demonstrable React experience). You've made architectural decisions that scaled, hired engineers who thrived, and shipped code that users trusted. You care about quality code, not just the number of closed tickets (though we won't complain if you excel at both). You're comfortable with ownership and thrive when building from the ground up, always valuing team wins over individual heroics. You don't solve problems, you nip them in the bud. You pick things up as you go, fixing issues before they escalate and spotting patterns before they become anti-patterns., * 7+ years' experience in building production frontend applications
- Proven expertise leading frontend teams (not just senior IC work)
- Deep knowledge of Vue.js 3 OR React (3+ years minimum)
- Track record of making architectural decisions that scale
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and setting the technical direction
